Tier2Tek Staffing is hiring a dedicated Technology Support professional for our client in the education technology sector. This is a direct hire position where you’ll play a key role in supporting staff, faculty, and students with their technology needs, ensuring seamless operations within an innovative and tech-forward educational environment.

The Technology Support role will be responsible for providing first-line technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting various devices and systems essential to the educational environment. You’ll assist users in resolving IT-related issues and contribute to enhancing the overall tech experience for the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot IT issues on computers, mobile devices, and AV equipment used in educational settings.
  • Maintain and update records of issues and solutions, ensuring a well-documented support history.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems according to organization standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to escalate complex issues and maintain seamless technology operations.
  • Assist with technology setup for events, presentations, and other school functions as needed.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with the institution’s IT policies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years in a technical support or help desk role, preferably within an educational or similar setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with operating systems (Windows, Mac), common educational software, and basic networking knowledge.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
