Tier2Tek Staffing is hiring for a direct-hire Technical Support Analyst position in Chicago, IL. This role is essential in providing front-line support and troubleshooting technical issues for our client's education-focused IT environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for customer service while supporting students, staff, and faculty.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, mobile devices, printers, and classroom technologies.
  • Manage and prioritize tickets in the IT service desk system, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining computer labs, classrooms, and staff workstations.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Document technical solutions and create user guides or FAQs for common issues.
  • Support IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and support tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist users with varying technical expertise.
  • Experience with education technology platforms and classroom tools is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
