Description
We are hiring a System Administrator for our client in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and supporting the organization’s critical systems. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and storage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain security and reliability.
- Implement and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare IT regulations and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and procedures.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve system-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and hardware (e.g., firewalls, switches, VLANs).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certification such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar is preferred.
