Tier2Tek Staffing is seeking a Senior Manager of IT Application Development for a client in the financial services industry in Chicago, IL. This leadership role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software applications that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, team leadership, and project management within the financial sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers, analysts, and QA personnel in the development and support of enterprise applications.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure applications meet business needs.
- Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience managing medium to large-scale application development projects in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
