Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rodman/Instrument Man to join a professional land surveying team in DFW, TX. This field-based role involves gathering precise measurements of land surfaces, contributing to accurate project planning and development. Ideal candidates will have a strong problem-solving mindset, the ability to adapt to various challenges, and the capability to work effectively as an independent field crew member.

 

Responsibilities
  • Perform field data collection using GPS and other surveying instruments to ensure precise measurements.
  • Prepare comprehensive field notes and sketches that accurately represent existing field conditions.
  • Utilize modern technology and tools to collaborate effectively with internal departments.
  • Manage and prioritize daily tasks to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the field.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle while adhering to all local traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned to support the surveying team.
Qualifications
  • Valid Texas State Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • At least 6 months of experience handling surveying instruments and processing survey data.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and traverse varied terrain.
  • Willingness to work in the field for extended durations.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a single field crew member.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
