Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Plot Plans Drafter to join their growing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD software, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating accurate, scaled site plans. This role involves transforming rough designs into precise working documents to meet client and survey requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Use CAD software to draft and create accurately scaled residential site plans.
  • Interpret client order forms, emails, and other communications to calculate and meet site plan requirements.
  • Review sketches, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with survey and project standards.
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with other teams to explain and clarify technical drawings.
  • Perform additional drafting and related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience drafting residential site plans with AutoCAD.
  • Certificate in Architectural or Civil Drafting from a college or technical school (preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Certification from an accredited CAD program (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
