Description

We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Party Chief/Rodman to join our land surveying team in Jacksonville Central, FL. This field-based role plays a crucial part in collecting accurate measurements and data to support project planning and development. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate data collection using GPS and other advanced surveying equipment.
  • Draft clear and detailed field notes and sketches that reflect current site conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams using modern tools and technology to ensure project success.
  • Plan and prioritize daily assignments to maintain efficiency and precision in the field.
  • Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to local traffic laws and safety standards.
  • Assist with additional tasks as necessary to support the surveying team.
Qualifications
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • At least six months of experience with surveying instruments and data handling.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on challenging terrain.
  • Willingness to conduct extended fieldwork when required.
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to function effectively as an independent field crew member.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
