Network Administrator

The Network Administrator will ensure that IT staff member(s) are able to maintain and enhance the local computer systems, including and all software. The Network Administrator will concentrate on the overall integrity of the network, server deployment, security, and ensuring that the network connectivity the LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with documented best practices. The Network Administrator will also act as the ISO (Information Security Office) and ISSO (Information Systems Security Officer.)

  • Works with various IT teams to obtain requirements for hardware and/or software procurement
  • Works with a variety of hardware and software vendors send requirements and obtain quotes
  • Understands vendor proposals and works with vendors to obtain clarification where needed
  • Works with various IT teams to facilitate vendor meetings, conference calls, and quote validation sessions
  • Actively seeks to understand various technology needs and maintains a list of qualified vendors/suppliers
  • An Associates’ Degree and at least 5 years of experience as an IT administrator or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Palo Alto networks and with Nokia network products
  • Experience with routing protocols
