Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the IT Security Incident Response team, providing direction and support to ensure effective handling of security incidents.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain incident response protocols and procedures in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve security breaches, minimizing impact on operations.
  • Conduct post-incident analyses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, adjusting strategies as necessary to protect organizational assets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as PCI-DSS, SOX, and GDPR.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on incident trends, response activities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing incident response.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, threat landscapes, and incident response methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other relevant technologies.
