We are working with a prominent residential surveying firm in Houston, TX, to identify a Land Survey Technician who is precise, analytical, and proactive. This role involves performing detailed boundary analyses, verifying fieldwork for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with jurisdictional and builder-specific standards.

Responsibilities
  • mport field data into AutoCAD base drawing files for drafting and analysis.
  • Generate accurate base drawing files, including essential calculations and data integration.
  • Identify and assign new field tasks to resolve discrepancies or clarify project details.
  • Conduct quality control checks on existing work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain organized records of observations, metrics, and quality control findings, offering suggestions for process improvement.
  • Analyze and resolve complex survey issues by evaluating potential solutions.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the surveying team.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required; a certificate or Associate’s Degree in Land Surveying or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in land surveying, field survey party chief roles, or working with AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
