Tier2Tek Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated IT Support Administrator for a direct hire opportunity with one of our trusted clients in the manufacturing industry. As an IT Support Administrator, you will be the go-to expert for resolving user issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring optimal functionality of the company’s network and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to a collaborative IT department that supports a growing, tech-forward business. Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end users for hardware, software, and networking issues.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and related systems.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot workstations, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.

  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to maintain uptime and reliability.

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software.

  • Document technical processes, support issues, and resolutions in the service desk system.

  • Support cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with IT policies.

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed to resolve issues.

  • Participate in IT projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support or IT administration role.

  • Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.

  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices is an advantage.
