IT Operations Manager
Description

The IT Operations Manager will manage a team that supports the company’s critical technology infrastructure, delivering a range of products and services. Members of the team are constantly learning and seeking new ways to evolve and improve our mission critical infrastructure. This team collaborates with all areas of the business to provide high quality service delivery and exceptional project management in the most cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide direction, guidance, and training to the desktop support team
  • Manage and provide direction, guidance, and training to the Tier 1 and 2 production trading support team
  • Communicate goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plan ways to execute those goals within the department
  • Utilize Jira software to coordinate project work and deployments and create workflows to support end users making requests to the team
  • Oversee the firm's strategic operational technology initiatives including desktop deployment, workstation setups, communication systems (phone/messaging), and e-mail, and associated cybersecurity measures
  • Coordinate installation of IT infrastructure equipment, to include servers, routers, switches, infrastructure cabling, AV equipment, office buildouts, etc.
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Manage IT vendor relationships and negotiations
  • Manage and maintain IT asset inventory and software licensing, and work with team to ensure that systems and software are accurately recorded, tracked, and retired to 100% of accountability standards
  • Work with the data center team to coordinate deployment of inventory to remote data centers
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of relevant IT experience (experience working in/managing a datacenter environment is beneficial)
  • At least 3 years of experience managing technical support teams
  • Impeccable attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Ability to perform the Tier 1 and Tier 2 trading production support management, AKA “day to day”/ “routine” tickets
  • Solid understanding of information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals
