Tier2Tek Staffing is actively hiring a Help Desk Engineer Tier 2 for our client, a leading organization in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of the IT support team, you'll be responsible for resolving escalated technical issues, assisting with system upgrades, and ensuring end-users receive timely and effective support.

You’ll work closely with Tier 1 support, system admins, and other IT professionals to maintain seamless IT operations. Responsibilities
  • Provide second-tier support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues that Tier 1 could not resolve.

  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding users, including setting up equipment and access.

  • Escalate critical incidents to higher-level support teams when necessary.

  • Maintain and update documentation for IT procedures and troubleshooting guides.

  • Support and maintain enterprise applications, printers, and mobile devices.

  • Help with system upgrades, patching, and maintenance tasks as needed.

  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and performance issues.

  • Maintain strong communication with end-users to ensure high satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a Tier 2 or equivalent IT support role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira).

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals).

  • Familiarity with remote support tools and VPN configurations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
