Tier2Tek Staffing is hiring a CAD Drafter for our client in Houston, TX. This is a direct-hire position. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses strong problem-solving skills. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed construction drawings and accurately scaled site plans using AutoCAD software. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment within the land surveying industry.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings for foundations, buildings, structures, and site plans.
  • Use AutoCAD software to create, review, and refine designs, drawings, and records.
  • Interpret client specifications, sketches, and other data to ensure compliance with survey requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to explain and clarify design drawings.
  • Identify potential issues in designs and propose solutions.
  • Maintain attention to detail while multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in drafting using AutoCAD software.
  • High school diploma or GED required; certification from an accredited CAD program preferred.
  • Experience creating site plans, preferably in architectural or civil drafting, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
