Enterprise Network Engineer

Tier2Tek Staffing is hiring an Enterprise Network Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a direct hire position in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage robust network infrastructure to support the organization's operations and ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Configure and manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network security by implementing best practices and conducting regular vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs and IT projects.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend and implement network improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or a related role.
- Strong expertise in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment.
- Experience with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with cloud networking in environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Certifications (preferred):
- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent certifications in networking.
