EMT - PRN (On Call)
Description
The EMT-PRN will provide essential first-aid and emergency care for employees in the construction and manufacturing industries. Initially, you will cover a maternity leave for 6-8 weeks, working from 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM. After this period, you will remain on-call to assist with injury prevention and wellness programs. You will collaborate with supervisors to ensure safety across job sites, contributing to a proactive health and safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-aid and emergency care, activating EMS when necessary.
- Lead daily warm-up sessions to help employees prepare for the workday.
- Offer coaching and support for Return-to-Work plans.
- Conduct proactive job site evaluations to identify potential safety risks and provide guidance to improve employee safety practices.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with employees and supervisors to ensure the effective delivery of health programs.
- Educate employees on health-related topics, including injury prevention, fitness, and early intervention strategies.
Qualifications
- Certified EMT with the following required certifications:
- National Registry EMT (NREMT)
- CPR Certification
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or clinical settings.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective relationships with employees and supervisors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
