Tier2Tek Staffing is seeking a Desktop Support Tech II for our client in the financial services industry. Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist with system installations, configurations, and software deployments.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, VPNs, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, ensuring proper tracking and documentation.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
  • Support IT security initiatives, including endpoint protection and user access management.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices and security protocols.
  • Assist with IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support tickets, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or technical support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and basic networking principles.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus.
