The Desktop Support II role provides advanced technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems, hardware, and software. This role requires exceptional troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently or within a team to resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level II technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows and macOS).
- Respond to support tickets and resolve escalated technical issues promptly.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and software deployments.
- Set up and configure user accounts, email, and applications.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support network connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and technical processes accurately.
- Train end-users on basic IT best practices and system usage.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and manage hardware replacements as needed.
- Assist in on-site and remote IT support for users across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Help Desk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues efficiently.
- Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar platforms.
- A+ Certification or related IT certifications (e.g., MCP, ITIL) preferred.
