Tier2Tek Staffing is hiring a talented Cloud Engineer for a leading e-commerce company in Chicago. This is a direct hire opportunity to join a fast-paced organization leveraging cloud technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and optimal performance for the company’s applications and services.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Monitor cloud systems and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Optimize system performance and manage resource allocation efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement robust access controls.
- Collaborate with software developers and IT teams to integrate cloud services with applications.
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and recommend enhancements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Engineer.
- Experience in e-commerce or high-traffic environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
