Tier2Tek Staffing is seeking a talented and experienced CAD Designer for our client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design, with the ability to create precise and detailed technical drawings. This role is critical in supporting our client’s engineering team by developing accurate designs and models that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed CAD drawings for various projects, including mechanical, electrical, and structural designs.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Revise and update existing designs to improve accuracy and quality based on feedback from engineers and clients.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date.
- Conduct field measurements and inspections when necessary to verify dimensions and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in design review meetings to provide input and feedback on project designs and modifications.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD software and industry trends to continually enhance design quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is required.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
