Tier2Tek Staffing is partnering with a rapidly growing client in the Renewable Energy sector to hire a Business Analyst – IT for a direct hire opportunity in Denver, CO. As a key liaison between stakeholders and development teams, the Business Analyst – IT will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements to support IT initiatives and digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in interpreting business processes into actionable technical requirements. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging data and technology to drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to gather and document functional and technical requirements.

  • Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement and automation.

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and process flows.

  • Support project managers with project planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with key stakeholders.

  • Assist in QA testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Serve as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical developers.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or technology environments.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience in the renewable energy or utilities sector is a plus, but not required.

  • Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are a bonus.
